Ignite Race Preview- Race 7 + 8 at Gateway Kartplex (August 9th, 2025)

Ignite at Night at Gateway Kartplex kicks off on August 9th, 2025 with a doubleheader featuring the Ignite Series presented by Skip Barber Racing School. Paul and the #81 Margay Racing Ignite K3 kart are looking forward to the races, after a disappointing end to the make-up Race #3 + 4. Eager to gain some last minute momentum, Fodde and his team are looking to score more podiums and capture his first victory at the Kartplex. "I was visibly frustrated with the result and the rain which messed up our chances at a great result." Fodde states. "However, the Ascentix Innovation Labs kart will be back under the lights, and I know our kart will be lights out as far as speed. I'm thankful for Zach Buchanan and all his help this year, and I know we can get a victory here before the season is over."

The wrap for this week will be the black and yellow livery featuring Ascentix Innovation Labs, which has seen the front of the field many times this year. With one podium and one pole, Fodde is hoping to improve on that this weekend with a great performance to gain ground in the championship. With half of the season over, mathematically the performances for the rest of the season would have to be near perfect- but you can never say never with how racing goes. "I'm hoping to bring both main anchor partners this year- Ascentix and RoundedCube- top step trophies by the end of the season. I am so thankful for their support and I know I can deliver on that promise." Paul Fodde comes into this race 4th in points and still has confidence that he can improve on that for the rest of this season. Paul Fodde made his full-time return to karting in 2025, racing in the full Gateway Kartplex Ignite Series campaign for Margay Racing. His main mechanic and racing mentor, Zach Buchanan, will be assisting the #81 kart this weekend. This weekends race will be under the lights, a first for the Ignite Series in a number of years. The track configuration will be in the clockwise direction, featuring a short turn 1 and utilizing the 180. Not only will Paul compete in the Ignite Heavy class, he will also announce for the races this weekend at Gateway Kartplex.
